There is still quite a lot of interest in the series, sadly we still don’t know whether that interest is enough to spark the production of a new title. Many players enjoyed the story within the game, seeing less of a focus on that and turning it into a pure vehicular destruction title could ruin that experience for them, which in turn could hurt the brand. The danger of doing this however would be leaning more towards a focus on a destruction derby combat rather than the lore and bosses of previous titles.
